On the final day of the 40 Hours Devotion, we had a Pontifical Mass at the Faldstool coram Sanctissimo. The Celebrant was His Excellency, Bishop James C. Timlin. At the end, we had the Litanies, the prayers for the 40 Hours, the Procession of the Blessed Sacrament inside the church, and Benediction.

40 HOURS DEVOTION - CHURCH OF THE HOLY INNOCENTS - NYC - 2ND DAY - PHOTOS OF CANDLEMASS

On the second day of the 40 Hours Devotion, the Mass was the one for Candlemas. The Bl. Sacrament was reposed for this. The blessing and the distribution of candles took place. There were more people than expected because we ran out of tapers to distribute. Afterwards, the traditional procession for Candlemas took place inside the church.

Exposition continued later in the day. There was always someone present for adoration. Several people signed up for different time slots to pray before the Bl. Sacrament exposed.
